When I first reviewed the ZIIP HALO I was absolutely blown away by how it revolutionised at-home skincare with its powerful microcurrent and nanocurrent technology. The New Features: A Real Step Up

At first glance, the Halo 2.0 doesn’t look all that different from the original. It is the same size, same sleek design, same high-end feel—but it’s inside where the magic happens. The only main visual difference is that the charging socket, where the charging cable fits in the device, is now covered with a silicone seal, which I think was a great idea. Apart from that, they are practically identical.

I absolutely love that this updated version comes with three types of conductive gels because, let’s face it, I’ve been dying to try them all. ZIIP Gels are essential for prepping your face before using the device — they’re highly powerful microcurrent gels that not only protect your skin but also allow the waveforms from the device to pass seamlessly through. Microcurrent Power: Stronger, More Targeted Results

One of the first things I noticed with the Halo 2.0 was the improved power of the microcurrents. While the original Halo was perfect, the new device feels like it delivers a more intense, focused treatment, still without being uncomfortable, though. If you own the original Halo, you will notice a difference in the intermittent pulsing that reminds you to move on, as I feel this is now a lot softer and not so forceful. I also find it to be a lot faster and more responsive when switching it on and off, and connecting to the treatment programmes too.

During the treatment, I could feel the current working on my skin, which translated to more immediate and noticeable results, especially in terms of facial tone and skin firmness. For those who found the original Halo a bit too gentle, this upgrade will impress you. I personally liked the gentle feeling of the original Halo, as I never want to feel 'stung or zapped,' but even with this upgraded technology, it still feels very comfortable. Sometimes I think it's mentally pleasing when you can feel something because your mind is telling you, it's working!

The ZIIP App Experience

I love the Ziip app because I think it has the perfect amount of treatments that are built around what your skin needs, and how much time you have. By syncing your Halo to the app, you can now customise treatments; for example, if you are dealing with fine lines, dullness, or sagging skin, the app creates a personalised treatment plan tailored just for you. This feels like at-home skincare has really moved on, and honestly, it’s one of the standout features that makes the treatment feel bespoke and much more intuitive.

I love the 4 minute treatment that's already programmed into the Ziip Halo and I find myself doing that one a lot when I'm short on time and need a quick treatment that's super effective but I do do a lot of the programmes on the app. My personal favourite treatments on the app are the Instant Face Lift (6 mins) which gives an instant lift, the Skin Barrier Repair (6 mins) which really helps to restore and help with redness and irritation, the quick pimple treatment (90 secs) which really does help if you get an unexpected pimple, plus if like me, you always want fuller lips, there is even a treatment to help plump and soften lines. And there is so many other treatments even I am still making my way through!

My Results: Instant and Long-Term

As you may know and have seen from my previous post, the biggest endorsement I can give again is the fact that I’m still using it even more months later; not for a sponsorship or content, but simply because I don't want to be without it, because the results are clearly noticeable, and I especially notice them when I do an updated blog post, because I can see it in the images that I'm taking and documenting.

After using the upgraded Halo 2.0 for a few weeks, I can confidently say the results are even more impressive, and I really didn't think that was possible. My skin feels firm, more defined, and I notice a real overall lift. Of course, this just could be the results I'm getting from continued further use of the device, as I am a religious user, but I do think the improved technology within the device itself definitely adds to the effects that you see in your skin.

Both versions are superb, but the 2.0’s stronger microcurrents and targeted treatments definitely give that extra boost which I could not only feel but see in my skin too. What I particularly love about the Halo is how quickly you can see changes; after just a few sessions, I noticed that my skin looked brighter, smoother, and more radiant. Although the new version does look exactly the same as the previous model, I do feel you will definitely be able to feel a physical difference when using the 2.0 version.

Below on the right (white) is my original results from using the Halo, on the left (black) is the continued use of the Halo, using the new updated 2.0 Halo. Both show amazing results on my natural bare skin, but you will most definitely see further improvements on the right to tone and evenness of my skin as well as firmness! My skin is also quite touch-sensitive, hence she will always notice the redness when I've done a treatment. It wasn't until I put these images side-by-side that I really noticed the continuous improvements to my skin.

Is It Worth the Upgrade?

As I mentioned before, the Ziip Halo is an investment — but one which is 100% worth it in my opinion, and with the advanced tech in the updated version, I feel it will only get better over time.

If you're new to the Ziip Halo, I say absolutely go for it! While it doesn't replace a good skincare routine, using it regularly in your routine - and regular use is a must - it has made a noticeable difference in my skin’s firmness and overall appearance. The results are undeniable, and with the latest tech upgrade, it’s more effective than ever.

For those who already own the original version and are craving more from your device, the Ziip Halo 2.0 is definitely worth the splurge. The combination of enhanced performance, personalised smart treatments, and quicker, more noticeable results makes this update a true game-changer. You’ll love it even more.

If you're hesitant to upgrade because you already have the original, don't worry — the device still delivers incredible results. You can continue using all the fantastic treatments on the app, and when the time feels right, you can upgrade later. After all, with technology advancing so rapidly, there will always be something bigger and better down the line.

It’s more powerful, more intelligent, and delivers even better results. If you’re new to the world of microcurrent skincare tools, then this is an incredible introduction.
