When I heard news that Sweed was launching a hair serum, I felt like they had heard my calls at night whilst applying my lash serum of .. "I wish Sweed made the lash serum for the hair on my head!" Sweed don’t launch for the sake of hype; their products are focused, and frankly, loved — and that’s what makes them so easy to support. Their ethos has always felt real — less about unattainable perfection, more about helping your natural features reach their full, healthy potential.

Now, it’s worth saying, I am an undisputed queen of buying hair products. If the packaging is chic, the promise convincing and my TikTok FYP lines me up another hair video to watch, chances are it’s already in my bathroom cabinet. With naturally fine, thin hair, it’s often been a case of hope over experience. *In fact, I will make an updated post soon featuring the hair and scalp focused products that I've been using that I think are absolutely worth the investment and have been working wonders for me.
I’ve also worn hair extensions for years — not so much for length, but for that much-coveted thickness. And in fairness, they’ve helped me hugely not only in confidence but my hair has grown longer and stronger, simply from being left alone under the tapes. But I also take breaks from them, deliberately. I like to give my scalp a proper reset, slather it in treatments and nourish it like I would my face. Even though I do do this with extensions in, it's easier to do with them out.
I think we all know that scalp care is finally having its moment — and rightly so. We spend endless time and money on the ends of our hair, but ignore the foundation it grows from. I’ve been taking supplements, massaging in serums, upping my protein — the lot. And that’s exactly why Sweed’s Hair Serum feels so timely. It’s not a gimmick or a bandwagon like rubbing Rosemary Oil onto your temples every night just to see 'no change'. It’s part of a more intelligent, holistic approach to hair — one that starts at the scalp and works from the inside out.

My First Thoughts
I hear you ... 'not another hair serum'?!. The shelves are littered with so many products with big claims, but what I like is that this one doesn’t promise overnight miracles. Instead, it offers consistent, visible results through thoughtful formulation. As well as Hyaluronic Acid and Pumpkin Seed Oil the Serum includes Keratin, Peptides and Biotin, ingredients with solid data behind them, not just buzzwords designed to shift units. Importantly too, I love that like the Lash and Brow Serums, it's free from prostaglandin analogues, a synthetic hormone found in many other products that can cause some nasty side effects.
Results
I’ve been trialling this now for just over a month, and while I’m still very early days, I do notice subtle changes: less hair on my brush, fewer wispy flyaways at the temple, and more plushness at the roots that brings hope. In fact, I feel a lot more confident it this past month not having any extensions in which is a testament to products like this making that possible because anyone that knows, knows you feel like you have no hair when you have extensions talking out, so when a product gives you that confidence back, you know its pretty special.
I love that it is light, non-greasy, and layers easily into my routine. If you’re used to applying your skincare with some care and attention, this will slot in seamlessly — the roller ball makes it all super easy.
I must add that I have used other brands continuously prior to this one, being Kerastase Genesis and Champo being the main ones, so I have had improved hair growth over the last few months. But because the season has changed, I have noticed some shedding again which is usual for this time of year hence I thought it was a good time to test it out! I will keep you posted, when I feel it's had enough time to do its job, but like I said having seen results in this time already, I am super excited to carry on. It's quite nice to have a serum, that's very different to the others that I use and great for on the go too.
Like everything Sweed does, it’s subtle, elegant, and quietly effective. No drama, no false promises. Just a proper formula that I already trust with my eyes — and now, with my hair.
Bravo, Sweed. You’ve done it again!
