BLISS • Multi-'Face'-eted Anti-Aging Clay Mask

There is no doubt about it, face masks are one of my favourite beauty products and they are that one skincare product that you can dip in and out of, as and when you need it and you don't feel dis-loyal should you want to try another one out as it all depends on what your skin needs at that time. They are also a damn good excuse for 'you time' even if just for ten minutes to sit back, relax and let your mask (hopefully) work some magic. For this reason of having little time, we do expect a lot from our skincare nowadays as most of us want super effective, multi-tasking skincare and my newest skincare member promises to do just that as it takes only 5 minutes to work its magic.

The Multi-'face'-eted face mask from Bliss (great name) is a flexible clay mask that helps correct the most common visible signs of ageing. Being a spa-powered brand with smoothing quartz, 10% gylcolic acid, jojoba oil and detoxifying carbon, the multi-'face'-eted claims to help with the appearance of lines, the skins tone and texture, soften, brighten and shrink pores. Unlike other clay masks that crack and harden which can stress your skin out, this clay version by Bliss stays moist and flexible, keeping the skin happy. Big claims hey? I for one was very excited to try this.

It has most recently been raved about by one of the Queens of social media, Khloe Kardashian, who said (quote) "Just 7 minutes a week in this mask will do your face years of good!"  - and love her or hate her (I love her) you cannot deny how great she looks and what a huge transformation she has been through! Hence it intrigued me even more.

Being a spa based brand, Bliss have some impressive spa powered ingredients -
- 10% Gylcolic Acid (favoured by many of us!) to help reduce lines and minimise the pores.
- Quartz: Smoothes the skins surface.
- Kaolin: To draw out impurities and toxins in the skin and shrink pores.
Carbon: Purifies and absorbs skin impurities and eliminates excel oils.
Kojic Acid: An antibacterial acid that helps to fade discolouration and dark spots.
- Jojoba Oil: Brightens and nourishes.

Using this mask couldn't be easier ....
Apply a thin layer to a clean damp face, avoiding the eye area, leave on for 5-7 minutes then remove with a warm, wet face cloth. Can be used twice weekly. Simple!

The mask may tingle very slightly once you have applied it but in a good way not a 'help' kind of way, oh and you will look like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins aka a Chimney sweep! It feels so nice and comfortable the whole time you have it on your face and not dry, cracked and hard. Be sure to stick to the time frame as to not to over-stimulate your skin!

Does it live up to it's big claims?
The quirky name of this mask could not be any more spot on. I have tried Bliss body products in the past but not their skincare and I have to say this has made me want to try more as I for one love this mask. In what felt like the blink of eye, my 5 minutes were up and amazingly my skin instantly felt velvety smooth and my pores around my nose most definitely looked less obvious and my shiny nose was no more. How is that possible in such a short time frame?! I have to say I was slightly anxious before using this mask only due to the fact that I had a very bad experience prior to discovering this one with another brand containing AHA/BHA's which resulted in a huge reaction to the point where it burnt my face which understandably put me off clay masks but I can say happily that this one has restored my faith in the clay mask again. Thank you Bliss!

I love the fact that it is not like other clay masks in the respect that the clay is comfortable on the skin and you see visible results instantly. Most definitely an all-in-one product that does the job of many. I did have some redness around my forehead after I had removed the mask which freaked me a little at first but this literally disappeared within minutes of having washed it off; A sure fire sign that it was really getting to work! I will mention that you really have to wash this mask off well as the residue shall make you look a little grey but just use a face cloth to really get in there and remove! It most definitely restores glow to the skin and makes it look so much brighter and smoother. If you are someone that suffers with pores, fine lines, dark spots, dull looking skin etc then this is a treatment that you shall greatly benefit from. It is also the perfect 'pre-party mask' thanks to it's instant skin perfecting results. I am confident that the more I use this mask, the more results I shall see.

For those who love to use Glycolic Acid in their skincare regime then make sure that when using this mask, you limit the use of other products so is it not too much for your skin. Also be sure to wear a high SPF if you are using any acid based product such as this, as they make your skin more sensitive to sunlight so it needs protecting and SPF is something everyone should be wearing anyhow! I aways find spa brands to be some of the most effective in my experience as they rarely disappoint in their results and their ability to really make you feel pampered.

  4. My 2nd attempt at commenting, hope it goes through! What a wonderful review. Now if Khloe likes it enough, then I think I will too! I used their oxygen mask for years before. It was kinda my first introduction to masks.

    Great review!

  5. If it's Kelly and Khloe K (in that order) approved than I need to get it pronto! I've seen the brand around for years now and I remember reading about the owner too but I somehow never really ended up trying anything. Now I know I'll start with this mask! Thank you for such a great review!

    1. Kelly and Khloe, yes in that order! lol
So glad you enjoyed this post and that's another one for the hit list! (sorry!). Its a worthy addition to any skincare regime and Bliss is most definitely one of those brands that gets forgotten about as I have to admit I did too, but it just takes that one star product to get it noticed again, just how it deserves to be.
Thanks for the great comments as always lovely! xxx
