At this point, it's like picking a favourite child; I just can't pick one product, but if you’re wondering what to actually buy and where to start should the brand be on your radar, then these are some of the Sweed products I’ve personally tried, used and written about here on KELLiLASH. This is probably the product most associated with my Sweed obsession. I’ve used the Sweed Lash Serum for actual years by this point and originally wrote about it here: Sweed Beauty – the must-try products + the only Lash Growth Serum I now use. It’s also the product I still find myself mentioning in other beauty posts because, frankly, once something becomes part of your routine, it has a habit of turning up everywhere.

Sweed Mascara is another long-standing favourite of mine. I particularly love the definition and lifted effect of the Lash Lift, yet am also a huge fan of the Cloud Mascara, particularly in the Dark Brown shade when I want something softer, yet I still want volume and definition ... this gives all of those things. Another staple in my daily makeup routine, especially shade Bright. I mean, this is one that I recommend to everybody because it affects you having at least eight hours of sleep! They have such a good range of colours in this pencil, and it's definitely one that should be in your make-up bag in my opinion.

This has fast become one of my everyday go-to bases — and a product I’ve spoken about many times because I genuinely love it. It my skin that beautiful, radiant, naturally glassy finish while still looking like skin. It’s incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear, but somehow manages to make my complexion look smoother, more even and beautifully flawless without feeling heavy or sitting in fine lines and crevices. I particularly love it on more mature skin because it gives you that fresh, healthy-looking glow without looking overly made-up. If you’re after a base that makes your skin look smooth, polished and naturally luminous, this is one I reach for again and again.

Why I (still) recommend Sweed Beauty 

What I particularly like about Sweed is that the range has expanded considerably without losing the things that made me love the brand in the first place. The brand is particularly well known for its eye products and lash-focused formulas, but there’s now a much broader makeup and beauty offering. 

One of the biggest selling points has always been how age-friendly the brand is. I started using it in my thirties, and I’ve now made it into my forties, and I’m still reaching for many of the same products — in fact, probably more than ever. As my skin and my attitude to makeup have changed, I’ve found myself wanting less coverage and less of that obviously ‘done’ look, and much more of that fresh, healthy, naturally radiant finish. It’s makeup that works with you rather than against you, and I think that becomes particularly appealing as you get older. I don’t want to hide my face; I just want to make the most of it — and Sweed does that beautifully
