Do you pamper your body like you pamper your face? I have a huge passion for bodycare products so my answer is yes! Pampering doesn't always mean indulging in salon beauty treatments for the perfect manicure and pedicure, massage, fancy facial or finding the latest technology and exercises for cellulite ... it just means you take time for self-care in whatever form that may be. For me, it usually involves products or beauty devices of some sort.
I have always loved a good body moisturizer, bath oil, shower wash etc as I have followed in my mum's footsteps of moisturising my body every day. You wouldn't moisturise your face just once a week, so why your body? We are spoilt for choice when it comes to bodycare today and it definitely caters for every budget. Drugstores and French pharmacies especially house some real gems. This is why I wanted to share a few favourites in case you were looking for some inspiration to get your skin feeling good and look great ... especially as the summer looms!

Skin type still applies to body care; for instance, dry/sensitive skin will want to avoid sulphates that dry out the skin and possibly heavy fragrance too so look for really hydrating like oils and creams that will nourish and soothe. Another plus is that Aromatherapy oils are used massively in body care which not only benefits your body but your mind and mood too.

French pharmacies are by far my favourite place to go to stock up on my favourite body products as they really do offer the best deals and bulk savings. If you are UK based then somewhere like Boots will be a grotto of lovely products and in the US CVS for instance is a playground for good drugstore buys.

BODY WASHES/CLEANSERS
Bioderma Atoderm Ultra-Nourishing Shower Oil here
A great one for the whole family as this can be used by all and is less than €10 for a 1-litre bottle! Super gentle, highly nourishing and helps massively relieve and soothe dry skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. It has a really light feel and scent and does not feel heavy or greasy. It's also lovely in a bath. I have this in my shower and its just a staple for all seasons. There is something about a pump bottle that makes life just easier!Caudalie Shower Gel here
Luxurious yet oh so affordable; one of the many reasons I love this product. The plant-based, soap-free formula (very ideal for sensitive skins) is enriched with aloe vera and cleanses and moisturises the skin leaving it clean, refreshed and soothed. Thè des Vignes (White musk, Neroli Flower and Ginger) and Rose are my favourite scents in this but there are a few others available to.
Dermalogica Conditioning Body Wash here
Another new favourite that was kindly sent to me by the Dermalogica team. Again I love a pump bottle and this silky, gentle formula features aromatic oils of French Rosemary and Chinese Eucalyptus alongside fresh Tea Tree and Lemon oils, Pro-Vitamin B5 and tranquil Sandalwood, Lavender and Clary Sage. It smells divine and is that really invigorating wash that starts the day the right way!
Aromatherapy Associates Bath/Shower Oils here
I could in fact write a whole separate blog post just on this one product alone because I have used it for years. Aromatherapy Associates make the best aromatherapy oils that really do work. These ones are particularly designed to be used in the bath or shower but I only use them in the bath as not to waste them! This is the product you go to after a long stressful day when your body is aching, and you just want a spa-like treatment. One cap full in your bath will honestly transform your mind and body and scent your whole bathroom at the same time. My favourite is by far the Destress Muscle as it really work to relax the whole body and mind and is just my favourite scene out of them all. Elemis Frangipani Shower Milk here
If you know the classic frangipani scent from Elemis, then you will already love this. The shower milks are really lovely and creamy to leave your skin feeling soft, soothed and hydrated. They really do feel like a luxury and also recommend the body butter to match!
L'Occiatane Amande Shower Oil here
Again this is a body product I have loved and used for many many years. I would have to say this is probably one of my favourite smells of all time as I love anything almond flavoured or scented, but this is a very floral type of almond scent. This is a great one for dry sensitive skin being a silky, light oil that turns to milk when emulsified. It really softens and hydrates and is a great one for shaving with too. Again the fragrance of this one uplift your entire bathroom and if you have never tried it, then please please do.

This is a very luxurious, aromatherapy, hydrating body cream, designed to wrap the body with hydrating and firming ingredients, leaving your skin smooth, toned and gorgeously fragranced. The perfect partner to the cleansing shower milk. The texture of this is just so lovely and light yet super hydrating and for me the scent is the star of the show here. It is really delicate yet will make you feel like you are on a tropical holiday! My favourite Elemis body care line by far.
Korres Guava Body Milk here
I have been a fan of this brand for many years and the Guava is still my No1. I love that this is a really affordable luxurious range and their body care is a real star. The body milk is rich in Shea Butter and Avocado oil that is not too rich making this the perfect everyday summer body lotion.
Molton Brown Body Lotion here
I think everybody has a favourite when it comes to a brand like Molton Brown and for me it is definitely their Rhubarb and Rose. I love how lightweight their body lotions are yet the fragrances within them really pack a punch. This one has notes of rhubarb, citrus and vanilla florals and it's just the perfect summer body fragrance.

A really special Spa brand that is highly luxurious and indulgent in every way. I have loved their body care ever since I tried them in a spa then purchased the products to take home. This body serum is very unique, packed with Omega + Essential Vitamin Complex helps to strengthen the skin’s natural moisture barrier while helping your body rediscover that all-important glow. The oil-serum is in a spray form making it light and non-greasy and absorbs beautifully into the skin to leave you feeling hydrated and smelling gorgeous. Another great one for all seasons but especially wonderful as an after-sun.
Malee Body Oil + Sugar Scrub here
This is a brand I discovered through Mintd Box and have been a fan of ever since. Their small line of bodycare is incredible and for me the star of the show is the body oil, which has actually won awards. It is multipurpose for hair, skin and nails using a potent blend of natural sweet almond oil, coconut oil, argan oil and rosehip oil. So as you can imagine it smells beautiful; very fresh and it's almost herbal like. It is non-greasy, super-hydrating with all of those plant oils and perfect for dry skins. I actually love to add a few drops to my bath as it really does hydrate your skin and make your bathroom smell lovely at the same time. When they say multipurpose they mean it; you can also use it as a finishing product for hair, shaving oil, beard oil, cuticles ... it just works on anything! The body scrub and hand cream are just as luxurious as the body oil and is the perfect treat to self.

For me this is kind of like toothpaste, every time I go to the pharmacy I come home with another one. This for me is my everyday staple, my generic daily body lotion. Living in the south of France, I do feel you get the best deals when it comes to Caudalie which is why I stock up on all my body care favourites at the pharmacy. This one, in particular, is a favourite of mine being enriched with their famous grape cocktail of goodness, it's lightweight and easy to apply and leaves my skin smelling of Neroli, Ginger and Musk. I definitely recommend trying the Caudalie body lotions as they really are your perfect everyday go-to. I do in fact have the newest one that I shall be talking about soon!

You should know by now my love for By Terry Baume de Rose Lip Balm and I couldn't not throw in a beautiful hand cream to this edit and this has to be one of my favourites. It's luxurious, highly effective, beautifully scented and just an all-round daily treat. I am so fussy with hand cream because I can't stand to feel a residue on my hands once I've applied it and this is one of those that absorbs immediately into your hands but leaves you with a beautiful scent of fresh rose. I have mentioned these two products so many times you're probably sick of me talking about it which is why I'm going to leave the full review here!
But this is also why I had to include these products in this edit because these are the products that give my body a golden glow. I do not do sun, but I do St Tropez tanning! The face mist has to be a holy grail/ride or die product for me because not only does it give a natural golden glow to your skin but it also works as a hydrating facial spray that you can use before or after makeup and which is why I think this product is a superstar. The Body Water Gel is completely clear making it effortless and so easy to use in giving your skin a bit of a sunkissed glow.

In all honesty, this post could be never-ending because I think you can gather that my love of body care is a large one. I do however love how varied body care is nowadays in accordance to cost and efficiency making products accessible to everybody and I really do hope that introducing you to some new ones will excite you, as much as applying skincare to your face does.
