Caudalie have gone from strength to strength over the past years with their products becoming a staple within most of our skincare routines. Being a French brand and living in the South of France, it really takes centre stage here. I was first introduced to Caudalie when I was working for Space NK in London some years ago now and ever since then, their Beauty Elixir has been in my stocks ever since because it's simply amazing, hence why it is one if their bestsellers.

In case you aren't familiar with them, Caudalie believe in a greener planet and more committed cosmetics. They create skincare for those who want effectiveness and naturalness without having to put one aside as well as glamour and ecology. They are known for grapes as they use vine and grape extracts from their vineyards in Bordeaux and Burgandy to become green active ingredients that work within our skin. I mean look at all the wine that the French drink and they still look so youthful? There is a lot to be said about those grapevines.

Caudalie is part of the 1% for the Planet movement and donates 1% of it's global sales to NPO's that work to protect the environment. By 2020, 6 million trees will be planted around the world. So as you can see they sure are a committed brand that strive to bring us the best in high tech, natural beauty.

A few months ago Caudalie launched a brand NEW skincare line called Vine[Activ] which caused a lot of interest in the beauty world. I was excitedly sent the full line to try to let you all know my thoughts about it. I knew straight away that there was a very strong chance I was indeed going to love it being the fan that I already am. I can reveal that this line is definitely a winning launch with some real key players within it.

Vine[Activ] is a NEW anti-wrinkle and glow activating regime that fights against the effects of hectic lifestyles and corrects initial signs of ageing. A perfect line for many of us, yes?

Now I get sent a lot of skincare so to make it here onto the blog, it really needs to impress me and I am pretty fussy I won't lie. I have high standards let's say! So I have been using this new line over the last few months by gradually adding each product into my daily routine so I can see the effects of each one then used all together so I can give you my honest opinions about them all, as always.

There are four products in the line; a Self-Defence Serum, a 3-in-1 Moisturiser, an Eye & Lip Cream and The Detox Night Oil. PLUS the whole line is suitable for ALL skin types.

One important point that strikes me initially is that the products are all extremely affordable ranging from £28 - £36 and for a high-end, anti-wrinkle range this is very good news.

Caudalie VineActiv Skincare, Glow Activating Serum

STEP 1 - Caudalie VineActiv Glow Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum 30ml, £36 [Buy here!]

A concentrated serum packed with anti-oxidant polyphenols which helps to protect the skin from everyday aggressors like stress, pollution etc, visibly smoothing initial signs of wrinkles and giving your skin a healthy glow. The key ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid to add moisture and plumpness, Polyphenols and Vitamin C.

I am a serum addict. I have been trained that way over my years working in skincare as a facialist as I have seen the fast acting results that they deliver mainly because they are lighter than a moisturiser so your targeted serums can penetrate deeper and faster to give you instant results that last long term. This milky serum is very light and watery in texture which means that it melts into your skin instantly leaving no stickiness or heaviness. This serum is simply beautiful. My skin looked so healthy and bright just by adding this into my regime and I swear it has helped to fade a few fine lines. It is one of those serums that I would recommend to everyone that needs some kind of skin boost and for those who feel they need to safeguard against future ageing to maintain a youthful looking skin. You can use this day and night to whatever suits your routine. I cannot believe that this is only £36 as serums in particular can cost the earth so this is a serum to invest in. It contains the highest concentration of anti-oxidants within the whole range so keep that in mind should you want to pick just one item from the collection to try.

A lightweight yet highly moisturising cream that makes the perfect daily skincare staple. It has been developed to limit the amount of pollutant particles deposited onto the skin, helping to smooth wrinkles and give a youthful glow. The key ingredients are Hyaluronic Acid, Polyphenols and Vitamin C.

This has such a beautiful texture that looks velvety rich but feels light and airy on the skin especially in warmer climates. It's a perfect daily summer moisturiser for most skin types as it layers really well with all other products yet gives you moisture and a radiant glow. In fact, I actually wear less make-up with this as it makes your skin look so radiant and healthy. When your skin is having a hormonal tantrum this is great one to use because it's light enough to not break you out yet the radiant glow it gives, makes your skin feel and look brighter. Dry skins may find that this is not enough so I would recommend maybe layering this one or just go with the Dry Oil or Serum instead. Being mid 30's with a normal/combination skin type this has definitely suited my skin well and again, a lovely daily moisturiser for the summer months especially.

Caudalie VineActiv Skincare, Energising and Smoothing Eye Cream

A gentle, comforting cream that visibly helps with dark circles and keeps the eye and lip contours smooth. The key ingredients are Polyphenols, Vitamin C and Liquorice to decongest.

Eye creams are the one skincare product we all hold high hopes for as it's the one area that can really age you if not looked after. They are also one of my favourite skincare items to try. This eye cream is super lightweight like the rest of the line and makes your eyes feels very refreshed and hydrated. It absorbs very quickly and is a great lip treatment as that can be one area that we are quick to neglect. I actually took it away on holiday with me and put it to the test as the travel friendly tube made this ideal and hydration and energising is just what I thought I would need in the summer heat. I felt this did just that, hydrated and brightened up my whole eye area. I don't feel it helped my dark circles but it definitely did smooth making them look less lined and less tired as well as safe guarding them against further signs of ageing. So if this is what you need, then it will be a perfect eye cream for you to try but if darkness and puffiness is your issue, then this won't be the cream for you. You could however layer this over the top of another eye treatment (always lightest texture first) therefore getting the best of both. I am still continuing to use this in my daily routine as I really do enjoy using it!

Caudalie VineActiv Skincare, Overnight Detox Oil

A dry oil ideal for skin which is exposed to stress, pollution, UV rays and other free radical damage. The oil helps to detoxify and smooth the skin to refresh your complexion. Infused with anti-oxidant Grape-seed, regenerating Rose Hip, purifying Neroli, smoothing Lavender and detoxifying Carrot Oils, this is 100% plant based and promotes cell renewal and eliminates toxins.

This oil is magical and by far one of my favourite items from the whole collection as this really does work to help renew, repair and protect your skin as you sleep. You already know that I am a huge face oil fan and this is what excited me the most and thankfully it went above and beyond my expectations. The scent is beautiful, the texture is perfect as non greasy or heavy, absorbs very quickly and did break my skin out as we tend to all associate the word 'detox' with breakout but you can rest assured this oil shall just give you radiant, soft skin that glows. I am always concerned about what damage the environment is doing to my skin so the fact I can slather my skin in anti-oxidants makes me feel a lot more protected. This really shall work for all skin types and drier skins could even layer this up with the serum and moisturiser should you want or need to. Oilier skins can just used them all as separates so it really is very suited to everyone. For me this is a real skincare star player.

In short, I am very impressed with the entire line. The light textures, the aromatic scents and affordable price tags all make this a collection that would suit many. All products absorb easily into the skin, are easy to use, leave your skin hydrated for hours, give you a radiant glow with amazing anti-oxidant protection to help safe guard against premature wrinkles. All products layer perfectly together so you can use them in a way that best suits you. I did indeed notice a clear difference in my skin and shall continue to use them in my routine. The packaging is also very travel friendly which is a huge bonus in my eyes.

Another great thing about the range is that you can integrate each of the products into your routine as individuals so if serums are your thing, you can easily add it into your daily regime. If you were looking into trying one or two items then the two must haves in my opinion would certainly be the Overnight Detox Oil and Serum as like I said the serum holds the highest concentration of anti-oxidants within the whole range so definitely a great skin investment. Then if you enjoy, maybe add in the Moisturiser as you shall not be disappointed.
