A new product launch has hit from the brand Too Faced with their Bulletproof 24 hour wear waterproof shadow eyeliner.

I was introduced to this last weekend whilst shopping in my fave make-up store, Sephora where the make-up girls gave me a special preview of this - seeing as I practically live in that store.

Too Faced Mink Bulletproof Eyeliner
Bulletproof Shadow liner is a paraben, sulphate free shadow in a liner form that is designed to go from a liner to a smokey eye in one product and not crease, smudge or budge and sets in just 60 seconds for 24 hours of wear. Perfect for 'gals on the go' who need one step solution make up products with no need for brushes.

Due to being a new release Sephora at the time only had 3 out of the 8 shades in stock so I opted for the shade Mink as I wear mostly bronze tones on a day to day basis and its a safe neutral shade to start out with. This is a great tone for blue & green eyes as it really makes the colour of them stand out even more.

At one end of the pen is the shadow and at the other end is a blending ball which enables you to smoke the pencil out without removing any colour and eliminates the need for brushes when your on the go. Hidden within the cap is also a sharpener so you can get a point for when your using this to line the eye for more precision.

So as Too Faced suggest - line it, blend it, smoke it!

As you can see from my swatches below, the pigment looks different according to what light you are in like most metallic eyeshadows do. It's SO shimmery and sparkly which is more visible under a spot light so its not too party-like for everyday wear and has no glittery fall-out just this amazing shimmer that really is so pretty. I'd say its more of a 'grown up' version of a glitter eyeshadow!

I have been wearing this over the last few days in more of a natural looking way as its so versatile and can be kept very simple for daytime or amped up for a more glamorous party look which I am yet to do.

Just to recap - you can use this as an all over eye shadow, as an eyeliner, for a smokey eye  or as a base underneath any powder eyeshadow which intensifies the shadow being applied over the top and keeps it in place.

Trying this out for the first time I wore the shadow all over my eyelids and underneath my eye with a similar shade matte eyeshadow used lightly over the top and in my crease to contour and blend out into a more gradual smoke. I paired it with a flick of liquid liner, so a very simple look thats fool proof. Its hard to show on camera the true shimmer of this but when the shadow hits the light its so pretty.

Is it a Worthy Buy?
Oh Yes. I own far more powder eyeshadows than I do cream or pencil eyeshadows as I haven't really found many that have impressed me with their staying power and non-creasing but this one certainly has and I find myself wanting to go back to Sephora to buy more shades. Due to its waterproof formula this stuff does not budge so its ideal for hot climates, holidays and beach days if you like to wear some make-up.

It glides over the eye super easy but it sets very fast so work quickly and when blending this out make sure you apply to one eye at a time because once it sets, it's not going anywhere. You shall need to layer it a few times to build up the colour intensity to however strong you want it to look. I am not a fan of the blending ball on the end as I hate those things and I always like to use a fluffy blending brush as they give a much better finish so I would suggest using your fingers or brush if you want to blend rather than smudge this but the ball is handy for on the go should you need it.

I found this great for lining underneath my eyes as you can get a good sweep of colour that doesn't need to be perfect as the pencil is quite big even when sharpened to a point so one sweep back and forth does the job nicely. This is ideal if you suffer from eye shadows smudging under your eyes because this one should not move.

After 10 hours of wear I had no creasing whatsoever which is very impressive so if anything this may just be the most perfect eyeshadow base. My Bioderma Cleansing water removed easily as you shall definitely need to use a waterproof eye makeup remover or cleaning oil to remove this bad boy.
