September Beauty Favourites
Can you believe that we are in October already?! The summer is effectively over and another season is upon us and I have already felt the transition with make-up and skincare as the beauty brands are now rolling out their berry toned looks and hydrating lotions and potions.

I have been making a slow transition into a new season as I hate saying goodbye to the summer but I have found myself liking a more pink/nude lip and smoky eye. I have very much been into new hair and body products and have been trying lots of new skincare and make-up so expect a lot of newbies to come over the next few months.

All of this months favourites are new purchases and discoveries that have blown me away and I have not put them down yet ....

Let us start with the make-up that has not left my face for the past month and it's from the make-up brand of the moment that has every A-lister fighting over having Charlotte as their make-up artist and with products like this, who can blame them.

Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Lipstick Bitch Perfect, Eye Cheat
Charlotte Tilbury KISSING Lipstick Bitch Perfect
1. Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Bitch Perfect link!
These K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks have been all over the press of late and once you try them you shall understand why. First things first, the packaging is rose gold (hello, sold!) very vintage, classy, and super stylish looking that shall make any make-up bag happy. The shade Bitch Perfect (love the name) is the perfect nude pink for people like myself that tend to avoid nudes as they can make my lips look almost non-existent but this one is the most beautiful shade that's not too brown, not too pink, but just right. The texture of them is incredible, they glide on super easily by their special wax blend and leave your lips feeling really hydrated and looking moisturised with a natural sheen finish. They protect from UV damage and contain special light diffusing pigments that help to give the look of bigger lips which I am all for. For the perfect lip combination use this shade along with the CT Lip Cheat lip liner in Pink Venus or Pillow Talk and your lips shall look very impressive! Cannot recommend these lipsticks enough and the colour selection is fantastic if you are looking to try something new.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'N' Liquid Kohl Eye Cheat Pencil link!
This is by far the best nude eyeliner that I have ever used and that's saying something as I have tried almost every brand. It's such a universal nude tone that is not too white or pink (i.e. the ones that makes eyes look scary) but a nude that adapts to all skin tones. It gives an optical illusion of wider, more awake eyes and we all want that! It's strange because it glides on just like liquid liner but it's a soft wax kohl that just melts into the skin all in one easy line. It's waterproof and stays put on the waterline for hours and most importantly doesn't irritate the eyes especially if like me you are a contact lens wearer and I have the most sensitive of eyes and am always being told off by my optician for wearing liner 'inside the rim' of the eye as it transfers onto your lens but this one doesn't - so we are both happy! Love, love, love this product and one that I highly recommend to everyone. It is a tad pricier then high street versions of course, but it's incredible and 100 % worth the investment.

Urban Decay Naked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette

3. Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette link!
I recently wrote a whole blog post about this *new* eyeshadow palette as it deserved some talking about as it is in my opinion the best Naked palette yet, so please do go check it out here. From it's stunning compact to the amazing eyeshadow shades, this palette is perfect for any season as you can rock a smoky eye at any time of the year! The shadows are so pigmented, buttery soft and it makes doing a smoky eye so simple even if you find you struggle with eye make-up, with this palette you shall find it simple. If you are looking for an all round palette then make it this one!

YSL Black Opium Limited Edition EDT
4. YSL Black Opium Edt Limited Edition link!
Now I am not saying that I forced myself to like this perfume because of its 'rose gold' sparkly bottle (ahem....) thankfully I fell in love with the fragrance just as much as I did it's bottle. I wanted a new perfume and having always liked the original Opium I thought I would try this version and it is gorgeous. I tend to lean towards violet, woody, spicy, powdery scents and avoid florals but this is a great mix of both. I always go for an EDP so that it lasts longer but this limited edition is only available as an EDT but being a rich scent, this is actually all you need as any stronger would be too heavy. It is a very seductive, feminine smell with notes of coffee, vanilla, orange blossom, cedar, patchouli mixed with florals. I have received so many compliments on my perfume when I have been wearing this of late so I know its a keeper. I definitely recommend checking this one out if not just to look at the stunning sparkly bottle.

OPI Avojuice Coconut Melon Han Cream
5. OPI Avojuice Coconut Melon Hand & Body Lotion link!
Now this is a sure fire way of keeping summer alive because the scent of this is like your sitting on a beach sipping on a summer cocktail; its smells so good! A must have for any coconut lover like myself. I am a huge OPI fan but have never tried their lotions before and having received this as a present from my lovely mother in law (who shall be reading intently) I have been using it every single day. I am really fussy with hand creams as I hate that greasy, heavy feeling that some hand creams can leave you with but this one absorbs instantly and contains aloe and avocado that really soothe and hydrate your skin as well as making it smell amazing. I feel another flavour on my wish list as they are seriously good enough to eat!

Sachajuan Hair Repair
6. SachaJuan Hair Repair 100ml link!
This has been a great hair discovery this month as I am totally hair obsessed and any product to do with hair, i'm all over it. This came to me in a Birchbox some time ago but only just got round to trying it out and after just one use I was impressed. Now I always invest and use good haircare to keep my hair and hair extensions in as best condition possible and this treatment made every hair on my head feel like silk, look really healthy and smell amazing. It's a real high tech, intense treatment that is designed to promote cell growth and give damaged or stressed hair strength and vitality. It also helps to illiminate frizz and make your hair feel silky soft and this did indeed make a big difference to how my hair felt, especially having had high humidity all summer. If you need some help getting your hair into good condition or you love treatments then definitely try this one as I love it.

Kerastase Discipline Bain Fluidealiste Sulphate Free Shampoo
7. Kerastase Discipline Bain Fluidealiste - Sulphate Free Shampoo link!
Alongside a new hair treatment I was looking for a sulphate free shampoo to help protect my hair and be kinder to my scalp and when I spotted this new line from Kerarstase who are my usual hair brand then I knew it was the one for me. The fact (again) that it was in a rose gold bottle just confirmed that this way made for me and my hair. Who would have thought a shampoo bottle could look so good. The best thing about this shampoo is that is actually lathers, yes! The main issue with sulphate free shampoo's is that they don't usually lather up as it's the foaming/drying agent, sodium lauryl sulphate, that is removed hence not feeling like you are thoroughly cleaning your hair but with this one, it feels squeaky clean. You only need a small amount as a little goes a long way and ultimately makes your hair feel soft, clean, shiny and smooth without being harsh on your scalp or colour. I am so happy to have discovered my fave brand of shampoo in a sulphate free option as its most definitely the best one I have tried yet.
